Upper Franconia is actually - still - an unknown region for us, through which we have so far only passed on the autobahn.
For an exploratory talk, we had an appointment away from the cities. In the Höllental, a hiking route through rustic nature.
There, the Café Alte Liebe awaits its guests. Marion Seidel-Wollner and her husband Wolfgang have made their dream come true here.
Ambience
Amazing. Comfy. Cozy. The tables were partly self-made or cleverly repaired. At the end of the guest room is a refrigerator where delicious pieces of cake and pie wait appetizingly. The choice is difficult. Marion Seidel-Wollner bakes herself, and once you have decided on a special piece, you will get a good one ... unlike in many pastry shops.
Our recommendation
After a Sunday walk through the Höllental, this is the right place to stop, stretch your legs and replace the lost calories with new ones... The opening hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 13 to 18 o'clock and a table reservation is advised, because not only we know - now - this gem in the middle of nature.
