Marcel Pagnol acquired Château de la Buzine in 1941 with a bold vision: he wanted to transform it into Marseille's film city and create a true "Hollywood Provençal." However, the château, built in 1867, achieved worldwide fame primarily through Pagnol's autobiographical masterpieces "My Father's Glory" and "My Mother's Castle." These touching childhood memories and their 1990 film adaptations turned the estate into an immortal symbol of the Provençal way of life.
