The coastal road leading south from the port of Marseille opens up fascinating vistas, but it ends abruptly in the grand wilderness of the cliffs and gorges of the Calanques.
Here everything spins around the beautiful things that make life more beautiful. So we remembered our last visit, which was several years ago. A small village perched on the top of a small mountain overlooking the valleys with their vines, artists who have their studios in the medieval houses and a relaxed athmosphere that quickly transferred to the visitor.
For a visit, leave the car in the nearby parking lot and explore the town with its medieval walls and buildings from the same period. The narrow streets provide shade and are refreshingly cool when the sun shines from the blue sky. The peace and serenity of the people who live here are a stark contrast to the racing program at the nearby, world-famous Paul Ricard Formula 1 circuit.
