Hutten-Heiligenborn
Campsite
A quiet campsite right in the heart of nature, yet still within easy reach of civilization and its supermarkets. You'll quickly come to appreciate the warm, family-like atmosphere here. We often met "old-school campers" here, who always make for pleasant encounters.
This marks the starting point of our journey around and deep into the Spessart. This site serves as an excellent base camp for exploring the first sights in the Hessian part of the mountain range.
The sanitary facilities are good and clean. This goes for the showers just as much as the sinks and the chemical toilet disposal points. Hygiene is taken seriously and handled professionally here. Plus, the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Opportunities
The town of Schlüchtern offers everything you might need on holiday—from historical sights to great shopping. Just a short distance away, you’ll also find Brandenstein Castle, Schwarzenfels Castle, and Ramholz Castle, all of which are well worth a visit.
Our Recommendation (as of 2025)
The campsite is perfect for unwinding. Everything you need in the middle of nature is provided. It's a wonderful spot to find some peace and quiet—highly recommended by us.
