Here on an island in the middle of the Saale river, we are relaxing and preparing for our journey home.
Before we finally set off, we take a moment to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this place, where the hustle and bustle of everyday life remains outside, on the other banks of the Saale.
The sanitary facilities are immaculate and clean. This applies to the showers, sinks and even the chemical toilet and grey water disposal facilities, which are excellent.
The pitches have electricity hook-ups, and we saw that fresh water taps are well distributed.
Möglichkeiten
Gemünden has several good restaurants and ice cream parlours. With a vehicle, you can take beautiful trips into the Spessart. Paddling, canoeing or fishing on the Main, Sinn and Saale rivers are pleasant ways to spend your holiday.

The campsite is ideal for staying with a camper van or caravan. From here, you can explore the Spessart in peace without being chased by culture and history.
