Trails & Beyond

In the Spotlight: The Spessart

The Spessart is a low mountain range and forest area that extends over parts of Lower Franconia and across the state border into Hesse. It is one of the largest continuous forest areas in Germany, known for its dense woods, rolling hills, and quiet surroundings. The Spessart is dotted with charming villages, medieval castles, and historical sites.

In the north, in Schlüchtern, our round trip begins, which will span an entire year. The town is located at the intersection of the Rhön, Vogelsberg, and Spessart. Our "rolling bedroom" is parked in the district of Hutten, right in the heart of nature.
